Retallack opens new viticulture consultancy

Well-known viticulture consultant Mary Retallack has launched her own consultancy, Retallack Viticulture, offering services throughout Australia.

Retallack is a third-generation viticulturist who grew up on a ‘fruit block’ in the Riverland and has worked in a wide range of practical, extension and consultancy roles both within Australia and overseas.

She said the new company’s special focus would be “assisting grapegrowers to become winegrowers”.

Retallack’s previous employment has included posts as senior viticultural consultant at Scholefield Robinson Horticultural Services; vineyard manager at Mountadam Vineyards in Eden Valley; program leader with the CRC for Viticulture on the Research to Practice program (throughout Australia), and work with Onkaparinga Institute of TAFE providing training in McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek and the South East regions of South Australia.
