‘What’s going on’ conference to be held next week

Winegrape growers in the Murray Valley region of Victoria and New South Wales will have the opportunity to hear the latest information on the major issues confronting them and their industry when Murray Valley Winegrowers’ presents its annual ‘What’s going on…?’ conference in Mildura next Thursday, 25 June.

This will be the fifth year that Murray Valley Winegrowers’ (MVW) Inc has presented the event, which usually attracts around 100.

“The winegrape industry, particularly in the Murray Valley, is going though a turbulent period and the need for growers to receive information that could help in decision making has never been greater,” said Murray Valley Winegrowers chief executive Mike Stone.

Next week’s conference will include presentations from John Grant, Constellation Wines Australia; Lawrie Stanford, Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation; Mark McKenzie, Wine Grape Growers Australia; and Fiona Lawson, Office of the Victorian Small Business Commissioner.

The conference will be held at the Mildura Grand Hotel from 1–5pm.
