Bird in Hand Pinot Rosé will be served at the 2009 Wimbledon Tennis Championship.
This is the third consecutive year that the Adelaide Hills’ wine has been chosen by The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club as the Rosé of choice at the prestigious sporting event.
“We were thrilled back in 2007 to feature at Wimbledon, and to be chosen in 2008 and now 2009 is a great reflection of the consistency of our product and commitment to making world class wines. This is a real coup not only for Bird in Hand but for the Adelaide Hills Wine Region as a whole,” says Managing Director Andrew Nugent.
The successful Adelaide Hills winery has quickly risen to prominence since its inception in 1997. Bird in Hand exports approximately half of their total production each year to over 20 countries and has received outstanding accolades along the way.
Bird in Hand will be celebrating their latest achievement by serving strawberries and cream at their Cellar Door during the Championship (June 22 to July 5).
