Nuptial celebrations begin early for young trophy winner

Costanzo is the chief winemaker at the family-owned and operated Golden Grove Estate on Queensland’s Granite Belt. The 27-year-old is believed to be the youngest recipient of the trophy in the show’s 28 year history. Costanzo challenged 1692 entries to win the coveted trophy. In a career of firsts, he was the first Granite Belt-born winemaker to qualify as a professional winemaker. He was also the winner of the inaugural Telstra Country Wide® Rural Young Achiever Awards winning the viticulture category in 2003. Since graduating in Wine Science at Charles Sturt University he has worked in a range of wineries across Australia and in the USA before joining the family business in 2002.
