Sensory workshop - only a few spots left

There are still a few places left for the upcoming sensory evaluation seminar and workshop.

This is an advanced seminar for professionals who need to maximise the power of sensory assessment. The workshop will demonstrate practical and interpretation aspects of sensory evaluation:

  • Rate-All-That-Apply (RATA), consumer liking with live analysis of the data
  • statistical methods; Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR).
  • Benefits of using ‘ConsumerCheck’ software.
  • Build sensory maps of consumer preferences as well as potential segments of users based on individual differences.
  • The cultural context and language, particularly regarding Chinese consumers.

It represents a unique opportunity to learn about these sensory techniques with some of the most respected sensory specialists from around the world.

  • Toni Paterson MW is an ex winemaker, now wine writer, critic and judge. She will reflect on the role of the gatekeepers who stand between producer and consumer and whose palates can be so fallible.
  • Renata Ristic from Uni of Adelaide will present on a cross cultural study across a number of English speaking countries.
  • Patricia Williamson from AWRI will present cross cultural study for Chinese consumers.
  • Claudia Guillaume from Modern Olives Laboratory will look at the interface between chemistry and sensory science from the context of a different but complementary product – olive oil.

The seminar provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge of recent advances in novel methodologies and current approaches to sensory and consumer research.

Places for the seminar are very limited. Book your place now if you don’t want to miss the opportunity to participate in this experience.
