Covercropping survey winner announced

A couple of weeks ago, Australian Viticulture magazine asked its subscribers and those of Daily Wine News to respond to a survey of their covercropping practices to determine whether the ongoing drought across much of Australia has had any impact on them.

The results of the survey are currently being compiled to produce an interesting snapshot of how Australia’s grapegrowers are currently managing their mid-rows. A full summary of the survey will appear in the March-April issue of Australian Viticulture (https://www.winebiz.com.au/ausvit/subscribe/) due out shortly.

In the meantime, Australian Viticulture is delighted to announce that the winner of the covercropping survey prize, a copy of the book ‘Covercropping in Vineyards: A Grower’s Handbook’, is Vanessa Chandler. Vanessa’s family operates a vineyard at Koondrook, on the River Murray in Victoria, as well as an irrigation company at Mount Martha, which specialises in sub-surface irrigation systems.

Congratulations to Vanessa and a thank you to subscribers like her who took the time to complete our survey.
