Seminar - The chemistry behind wine and molecular oxygen

The National Wine and Grape Industry Centre has extended an invitation to all industry members to attend Dr Andrew Clark's seminar titled 'The chemistry behind wine and molecular oxygen, and 11 years of acid baths' on Wednesday, 4 March 2009 at the NWGIC, Wagga Wagga, at 2pm.


Dr Andrew Clark, as part of the NWGIC Wine Oxidation group, has been performing research on the oxidative spoilage of white wine and the fundamental chemistry involved, at the NWGIC for the past 11 years. Based on research by the NWGIC Wine Oxidation group and recently published reviews of other research groups, this seminar will follow the series of reactions that result from the interaction of molecular oxygen with wine.
