Co-owners of North Melbourne restaurant Libertine, Zoe Ladyman and Nick Creswick have rallied a group of North Melbourne businesses and their suppliers to create an event on Monday 2 March to raise funds for victims of the Victorian bushfires and to pay respect to Rob Davey of Rob Davey Wine Merchants, who was killed in the devastation of Kinglake, along with wife Natasha and their two children. Rob’s wine company was a major supplier to Libertine.
Starting at 6.00pm, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at Rrose Bar, 7 Errol Street, North Melbourne, before moving on to a four-course dinner with matching wines at Libertine at 7.00pm
Tickets for the event are $145 per person, with bookings available direct through Libertine, telephone +613 9329 5228. All money raised will be donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.
An auction on the night will raise additional funds and will feature a cocktail and canapés package to the value of $500 from Rrose Bar; dinner for two at The Courthouse; dinner for two at Sosta Cucina; suckling pig banquet dinner for 10 at Libertine; hamper from Aesop; pamper package from All the Kings Men; pamper package from Hands of Elegance; function package for 10 from Red Monkey Tea House; gift certificate from Kids in Berlin; and a case of wine from Gembrook Hill.
