Four Winds takes out label design award

On the back of winning Overall Supreme Champion at the Drinks International Wine Design Challenge, it was announced yesterday that the Canberra District’s Four Winds Vineyard has also won Best Redesign and Supreme Champion at London's 2017 Harpers Design Awards for its new range of wine labels.

Released mid-2016 the range is a wind-themed photography series. Four Winds Vineyard teamed up with drinks packaging experts Denomination to create the range. The brief called for packing that was premium and told the vineyard's story. They worked to bring together some eye-catching and unique images with a fun, contemporary feel.

Four Winds Vineyard business manager, Sarah Collingwood, said that they were thrilled with this second international accolade.

“As a, family business there was some debate about whether the labels needed changing, but these two awards and the feedback since releasing the new labels has affirmed it was the right decision,” she said. “The new packaging captures the vibe of the business and, most importantly, looks good on your table surrounded by friends and family.”

“We were lucky to work with the experienced team at Denomination on this re-design as their expertise made the process a simple one. To have this design win the highest awards at not one but two international design awards is humbling for a micro winery in the Canberra district."
