Geoff Hardy finalist at Aus-China Business Awards

Wines by Geoff Hardy has been nominated in two award categories at the prestigious AustCham Westpac Australia-China Business Awards 2017, which recognises business excellence in the Greater China market.

The family-owned and -operated wine business has been recognised as a finalist alongside other iconic Australian brands such as Blackmores, Macquarie and Treasury Wine Estates.

“This is a remarkable achievement by our small team and we are of course very honoured to be included in such great company,” CEO Richard Dolan said.

Wines by Geoff Hardy has been nominated in the Business Excellence in Agriculture, Food and Beverage as well as Small-to-Medium Enterprises categories, and the winners will be announced at an Awards Gala Dinner in Beijing on Thursday 18th May.

“I’ll be there with our Export Manager, Yuan Yuan, and hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to take out an award,” Richard said.

Wines by Geoff Hardy has seen a huge growth in its overseas markets over the past few years, with the company’s export sales growing by a massive 885% from FY11 to FY16.

“Sales to China in particular have increased from only 1% of revenue in FY11 to 49% of total sales revenue in FY17, with an 83% growth year-to-date,“ Richard said.

This achievement has been recognised by various organisations, most recently with the company winning the Hong Kong Australia Business Association (HKABA) SA Exporter of the Year award for the second year in a row.

Wines by Geoff Hardy was also a finalist in the Business SA 2016 Exporter Awards, the national HKABA Export Awards 2016 and the Optus My Business Awards 2016.
