The new home for Innocent Bystander opened last week in the heart of Healesville in Victoria’s picturesque Yarra Valley.
Innocent Bystander Headquarters, previously White Rabbit Brewery, has been completely re-imagined by BEE interiors to reflect the Innocent Bystander gastronomic philosophy that great wine requires great food.
Mat Janes, Head of Innocent Bystander, said “Innocent Bystander loves to deliver memorable wine and food experiences, and our intention is for our new Headquarters is to do exactly this, in a friendly and inspiring environment.”
The relaxed and engaging space features natural timber finishes and polished concrete flooring. Elegant lights give way to subtle touches such as canvas banquette seating, a 15 metre stone bar and copper wine taps.
Yes, you read that correctly, the majority of wine at the new Innocent Bystander Headquarters will be on tap through state of the art KeyKeg™.
“There are areas to taste and talk about wine, there are areas just to sit back and enjoy a drink. We have a brilliant menu, designed to share, featuring awesome pizzas from our new Marana Forni oven, paella, imaginative desserts, great coffee and most of all, an incredible new home for people to get together with friends,” he said.
“Our draught taps allow people to enjoy a glass of wine, or share one of our famous carafes,” said Janes.
The team at Innocent Bystander has worked hard to use local produce, including Burnham Beeches bread, meats from local butcher Beef Joint, Hargreaves Hill Brewery beer and Four Pillars gin. They’ve also used the services of Yarra Valley locals Breen Printing, Yuncken Sheet Metal and Healesville Garden Supplies.
