Having won gold at the Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin last Friday, Seppeltsfield has completed a ‘grand slam’ of tourism award achievements – currently boasting regional, state, national and international accolades.
The national tourism award recognised the Barossa-based estate as Australia’s top tourism venue and follows a Great Wine Capitals acknowledgement for excellence in international wine tourism services.
Warren Randall, Seppeltsfield proprietor/executive chairman, said the award was “yet another milestone in Seppeltsfield’s golden decade and one in which the entire business can be proud”.
The winery and tourism facilities at Seppeltsfield have undergone significant upgrades since 2009, through significant investment by its proprietors. The 1888 Gravity Cellar has been refurbished and recommissioned, while the cellar door facilities have been completely redeveloped – allowing for the inclusion of a JamFactory art and design studios and FINO Seppeltsfield restaurant.
Visitor experiences have been enhanced through catering services and Segway tours as well as virtual reality technology.
