Quick stats update from CellarDoorMETRICS®

This week saw Tasmania reach the top of the wine tourism expenditure, regional ranking charts for the first time! Each visitor to their winery cellar door spent an average A$43.85.

The Grampians/Pyrenees/Ballarat region followed with A$43.67 and third on the list was Limestone Coast with A$40.17 per visitor.

During this same period last year these latter two regions grossed a similar average visitor spend of A$39.22 and A$42.76 respectively.

New South Wales’ Hunter Valley attracted the highest visitor numbers again, with 5496 each, with South Australia’s Barossa attracted 2233 and Australia’s South West (Margaret River and surrounds of Western Australia) 806.
