Yarraman Estate wins Hunter Export Award 2008

Yarraman Estate, winery and vineyard, has taken out top honours for their region in the 2008 Hunter Export Awards, receiving the Upper Hunter Exporter of the Year Award at a gala ceremony held at Newcastle’s Conservatorium of Music on Friday 22 August 2008.

Yarraman Estate received the award after beating other Hunter region export success stories, standing out from the rest through its unique mix of fresh innovation and savvy marketing. Competitors were from a wide range of industries ranging from mining, wine and chemical processing to name a few.

Yarraman Estate has been exporting for 9 years and is very honoured to receive this award in recognition of its hard work.

Yarraman Estate has in recent times gone through a series of transformations, from a complete branding overhaul, to the appointment of our world class Chief Winemaker/General Manager, Ian Long. The Estate has approximately 200 acres under vine boasting the oldest vines in the Upper Hunter Valley which are capable of producing the highest quality grapes.

Yarraman Estate Export Manager, Garrick Harvison said “Receiving this award is a huge honour for Yarraman Estate. We were up against such tough competition so it’s great to have all the hard work recognised by our local industry and our peers. We are very proud to be taking Upper Hunter wines to the world and honoured to be recognised for our efforts.”
