Murrumbateman Moving Feast

Murrumbateman Moving Feast 2008 on the 4–5 October is in its third year and has grown to a major event on the Canberra wine and food calendar.

Murrumbateman Moving Feast held at the wineries just 30 minutes from Canberra, attracts hundreds of visitors from all over Australia, who take the opportunity to visit friends in Canberra, and enjoy the days' feasting on the best of the region's food and wine.

Last year, saw visitors from Queensland and Western Australia, as well as Sydney, Melbourne, the South Coast and Canberra — and every one of them said they would be back again this year! This year fifteen wineries and restaurants have combined to provide regional food matched with a glass of premium Canberra Wine to visitors at each winery.

Local produce matched with premium wine is the main theme providing special joys and discoveries for both the Foodie and the Wine enthusiast.

The event starts with the Cool Climate Wine Show awards dinner on Friday night, and the public tasting on Saturday morning. Visitors can move between wineries for the most fantastic dining experience from 10am to 5pm both days.

They can plan a menu of entrée sized dishes to suit their personal tastes with a complementary glass of premium wine (and the branded glass is theirs to keep).

The sponsors list is also getting longer with no less than six sponsors, including Ernst and Young, ActewAGL, Radio Canberra 2CC / 2CA, Hi-Res Solutions, Label House, and Cospak.
