Australian Winemakers invests in the Barossa

Leading wine industry equipment solutions provider, Australian Winemakers today announced the opening of a new SA & WA Regional Office to be based in central Tanunda, in the Barossa Valley. CEO Paul Baggio will be in the Barossa this Thursday 24 July to sign the multi-year lease.

“Whilst the macro environment is challenging, we are committed to investing in the Barossa and local wine industry. The new Australian Winemakers office will allow us to be closer to our customers, particularly from an R&D, technical back-up and support perspective,” said Baggio.

Based at the office will be recently appointed National Products Manager — Frank Belperio, a sales team headed by local wine industry identity Blair Hanel, and a dedicated four person technical support team led by Wayne Stone.

“It’s important to be able to provide a comprehensive local service all year round, which is also a point of difference to our competitors. With our customers now in post vintage, we are better positioned to service and support their equipment, in a lead up to next year’s harvest,” explained Baggio.

Barossa based customers of Australian Winemakers includes larger commercial wineries such as Yalumba, Orlando Wines and Berringer Blass, to boutique operations such as Dutschke Wines.

The opening of the SA & WA Regional Office is a further response to an extensive customer research study recently commissioned by Australian Winemakers, which obtained valuable feedback on its products, services, customer requirements and market trends.

Entering an exciting growth phase, Australian Winemakers will be releasing further details on new and innovative initiatives over the forthcoming weeks.
