Bold Reschke wine named 'Best of the Best'

Premium wine company, Reschke Wines, has been handpicked by James Halliday to provide its esteemed 2003 Bos Reschke Cabernet Sauvignon for auction at a prestigious gala charity ball to raise much-needed money for paediatric medicine.

The wine has been included in the ‘Best of the Best Cellar’, a collection assembled by Mr Halliday to be auctioned at the Humpty Dumpty Ball, hosted by Ray Martin in Sydney on September 6, 2008.

Reschke Wines Managing Director, Mr Burke Reschke, said he was delighted to donate the ‘rich and bold’ Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon to assist such a high-profile and worthy charity.

“It is an honour to be chosen by James Halliday as the ‘best of the best’ and to be in such outstanding company to raise funds for medical equipment to benefit more than 40 children’s hospital wards,” he said.

“The 2003 Bos Reschke Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the boldest wines to come out of Coonawarra’s coolest and latest harvest for many years and we are very proud of the result, which is testament to our wine-making team.

“It has been incredibly well-received and has been praised by wine experts and critics across the country and the world.”

Reschke Wines has emerged as one of Australia’s most premium wine brands. Located in the heart of South Australia’s Coonawarra, Reschke’s vineyard of some 360 acres consists of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Shiraz plantings. Reschke produces a range of award-winning wines which are enjoyed by educated drinkers across Australia and the world.
