WineSkills is a FarmBis Finalist

The Winemakers’ Federation of Australia (WFA) WineSkills program has received a Finalist Award from the Government of South Australia FarmBis Training Awards.

WineSkills III “Business Sustainability – Volume or Value?” received FarmBis funding for the South Australian section of its national workshops tour. The funding allowed South Australian participants to claim a rebate for 50% of the cost of attending one of the sell-out two-day workshops.

The wine industry business management program has now been running for five years in wine regions all around Australia. Materials from the WineSkills workshops will shortly be collated and made available as a resource kit for wine producers.

Robin Shaw, Director, Tourism & Business Services, WFA, commented, “We were delighted to receive this recognition of the WineSkills program. Since October last year, we have hosted 255 participants in 13 workshops in all States.

“The WineSkills program is currently available on demand, in any region of the country, and can be tailored to the specific issues of interest such as brand building, customer service or sales workshops.”

“Over the next 12 months the Federation will continue to build on its existing workshop program to provide resources for the wine industry across all areas of business.”

The WFA would also like to congratulate CCW Co-operative Ltd, winners of the FarmBis Training Award in their nominated category.

Registrations are still open for the final workshop in the “Business Sustainability – Volume or Value?” series, which is scheduled to take place in Rutherglen on 23–24 July.
