A rush of medals for Murray Street Vineyards

Andrew Seppelt had the pleasure of receiving the news of a trophy in the decanter wine awards for the Murray Street Vineyards Greenock Shiraz 2006 in London on his annual trade visit last week. All the other red varietals entered received a Silver or better.

The Decanter wine awards is the most competitive International show for new producers with over 9200 entries from all over the world. Murray Street Vineyards rated in the top 12% of all wines entered! This fact alone is a testament to Andrew’s focus and dedication to dry grown viticulture and minimal handling in his winemaking practise.

The 2006 vintage reds aren’t due for release until September 1st. This and other results coming in at the moment are going to cause a huge demand for these rich, bold and densely flavoured red wines that has made the Barossa Valley famous for what it represents today.
