Biodynamic wine tasting event returns to Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

The world's top biodynamic vignerons will meet to exhibit their wines at next year's Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Return to Terrior is an international gathering of more than 40 biodynamic wineries, returning to Melbourne following the success of their 2011 tasting at the MFWF.

The event offers examples of biodynamic wines poured by the winemakers themselves. Champagne F. Bedel, Coulée de Serrant, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht and Nikolaihof are among the line-up, alongside Australia’s biodynamic wineries Castagna, Cullen, Jasper Hill and Ngeringa.

Other wine events at MFWF include the Acqua Panna Global Wine Experience, a global benchmark wine tasting with leading wine writers, educators and producers including Vanya Cullen, David Bicknell, Kath Quealy and Lisa Perotti-Brown. The event will discuss if chardonnay, Cabernet or Merlot create the world’s finest wines, and ask if more unusual varieties and lesser-known growing regions are the source of great wines.

For those wanting to find out which wines work best with Mexican food, the Acqua Panna Perfect Match brings food and wine personalities from across Australia to redefine ultimate and adventurous food, wine and drinks pairings.

The 2015 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival runs from 27 February – 15 March 2015.
