Wine Grape Growers Australia AGM looks to future

The Wine Grape Growers Australia annual general meeting (AGM) and seminar was well attended and provided insight to the grapegrowing sector of the industry earlier this month.

Brian Walsh, Australian Grape & Wine Authority (AGWA) chair, said the organisation’s three key objectives were increasing demand, competitiveness and capability.

“AGWA is unashamedly the positive voice of industry and are out there to promote the Australian wine sector for all it's worth,” Walsh said.

Walsh said the organisation plans to ensure the Australian wine industry is once again seen as the global leader in stature, image and reputation.

A seminar and panel discussion on 'Surviving the Present- Innovate for the Future' followed the meeting. Panelists presented insight into innovation and discussed how they were playing their roles in assisting grapegrowers and winemakers.
