Just one day left to register for Shiraz Viognier tasting

Tomorrow is the last day for wine producers to register their interest in the Wine & Viticulture Journal’s forthcoming tasting of Australian Shiraz Viogniers.

As we announced last week on Daily Wine News, it has been 10 years since the Journal last tasted Shiraz Viognier. The latest tasting will seek to give a snapshot of where the blend is at today, as well as get a handle on how many Australian producers actually declare their Shiraz Viogniers to contain the latter given local labelling laws don’t require they do so unless it makes up more than 15% of the blend, and whether any particular region in Australia has taken ownership of it.

Producers interested in submitting their wines to the tasting should email editor Sonya Logan () by 5.00pm (Australian Central Daylight Time) tomorrow (21 October).

The results of the tasting will be published in the November-December issue of the Wine & Viticulture Journal.
