Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association postpones Wine Tourism conference

Merilyn Hutton, chairperson of the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association (AMRTA) wrote in a letter to members and sponsors, that due to the resignation of Pauline McLeod, general manager of the AMRTA and Director of the proposed 2006 Wine Tourism Conference in Margaret River, the conference has been postponed.

The board did not feel confident in proceeding as planned with the 2006 conference, and decided to postpone the conference until 2007, to allow time for a review of the situation to ensure that the future conference would have sufficient lead in time and assurance of the same success as the 2004 conference.
