Dan Murphy’s arrives in Western Australia

Dan Murphy’s is opening its first store in Western Australia at Westminster today, bringing its very own ‘Lowest Liquor Price Guarantee’ to the residents of Perth.

The Dan Murphy’s story began in Victoria, with the first store opening in Melbourne in 1948 and the total tally of stores now standing at over 70 across five states. Since its inception the Dan Murphy’s promise to its customers has been the best range of wine, beer and spirits all with our lowest liquor price guarantee, sold by staff who are as passionate about the product as the founder Mr Murphy himself.

The average Dan Murphy’s store stocks over 4,000 products, including a wide range of beers and spirits, but with the key focus on wines – most stores stock over 2,000. Dan Murphy’s not only offers exceptional choice when it comes to Australian products, but also has exclusive relationships with a number of leading producers around the world, bringing imported wines to consumers at extremely affordable prices.

“Our concept at Dan Murphy’s is simple – we offer the biggest range of liquor and our lowest price guarantee. If a customer finds a lower price on any product we stock, all they need to do is show us and we’ll happily beat that price too,” Dan Murphy’s general manager, Tony Leon said.

“Our stores are designed to be easy to navigate, with plenty of staff on hand to offer expert advice at any time. There is always a Fine Wine Manager on duty to answer any customer enquiry, no matter how obscure and to assist with even the trickiest wine and food matches. It’s no surprise to us that customers describe our stores as 'Disneyland for wine lovers', whatever you like to drink we have something for you and with such good value everyone is happy,’ Leon said.
