Moss Brothers Single Vineyard Chardonnay awarded ANZ WA Wine Industry trophy

2005 Moss Brothers Single Vineyard Chardonnay has won the trophy for the ‘Best Estate Grown White Wine’ at the 2007 ANZ WA Wine Industry Awards, with judges’ comments highlighting the fact that top wine showed the provenance of the Margaret River’s Wilyabrup region.

2006 Moss Brothers Single Vineyard Chardonnay has scored 91 points and rated in top 100 wines of Australia in ‘The Advertiser TOP 100’. These awards confirm the building stature of the boutique winery from the prized Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River.

Established in 1984, Moss Brothers is one of the oldest family owned and operated wineries in the area. Moss Brothers’ Winemaker and Viticulturist Navneet Singh is focused on delivering wines of character, quality and provenance. He says “It is great to be recognized for producing a single vineyard wine which shows the regional footprint of the Wilyabrup area”. The wine has won numerous medals in ASVO wine shows throughout the country, and was rated 94 points in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion.

Navneet Singh has been active in the Australian wine industry since 1998. Since his appointment to Moss Brothers in 2005, the young gun has brought a new wave to the Margaret River, where he has been awarded numerous accolades for his wines. Navneet was recently selected from a strong field to be an associate judge at the Margaret River Wine Show next week. Navneet said he was looking forward to developing his judging skills under the guidance of some of Australia’s top Judges.
