Yalumba’s Cecil Camilleri was presented with the BRIT international award of excellence in sustainable winegrowing at the SIMEI sustainable viticulture and wine production conference in Milan.
Yalumba is the first non-US winery to win this award.
The award considers innovative sustainable practices in the categories of air, water, and land in both grapegrowing and winemaking and provides international recognition.
The South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) congratulated the Yalumba team on this achievement, and in particular Cecil Camilleri, who previously had a significant involvement in SAWIA’s environment committee.
