Foster’s announces senior global executive team

After an extensive business review with both BBWE and Southcorp management, the senior global executive team that will lead Foster’s Wine Estates Supply Chain from 1 July 2005 has been announced.
Randolph Bowen will lead the team as Senior Vice President Global Supply Chain. Randolph has been Senior Vice President Global Supply Chain for BBWE since January 2004, and prior to that was responsible for all Australian production. Randolph reports directly into Jamie Odell — Managing Director Foster’s Wine Estates.
Reporting into Randolph is the following team:
Alan Edward has been appointed Production Director, Asia-Pacific. Alan has been with Foster’s for over six years, having joined the business to build the Wolf Blass winery and recently overseeing the Wine Trade Review Australian supply chain initiatives and the establishment of the packaging and distribution centre at Wolf Blass. Alan will be responsible for the management of all wineries and packaging sites across Asia-Pacific, bringing to the job vast experience in engineering, OH&S and production.
Stuart McNab has been appointed Viticulture Director, Asia-Pacific. Stuart joined Southcorp in 1994 and was most recently the Executive General Manager Viticulture & Grape Resources, responsible for Southcorp’s 8,000 hectares of premium vineyards and 800–1000 growers. Stuart has extensive experience in the development of viticulture resources and state-of-the-art grower management techniques.
Chris Hatcher has been appointed Chief Winemaker, Asia-Pacific. Chris has previously been the Wolf Blass Chief Winemaker since 1996. Chris joined Wolf Blass Wines in 1987 after working at Orlando, Kaiser Stuhl and Simi Winery in California. Chris will oversee the winemaking and stylistic direction of all Australian & New Zealand wine brands.
Peter Taylor has been appointed to the position of Global Winemaking Development Director. Peter was appointed Southcorp’s Executive General Manager, Winemaking in May 2003 after 23 years with Southcorp. Peter is charged with maintaining our international reputation for quality winemaking. As such, Peter will be working with the global winemaking teams to share knowledge and best practice winemaking.
Chris Anderson has been appointed Procurement Director — Foster’s Group. Chris previously held the position of Strategic Procurement Director at BBWE and joined Foster’s Group in 1999. Prior to that Chris has had a number of senior procurement positions at Mars Inc and other FMCG companies. Chris will have dual reporting lines to Rob Rogers (Director Supply Chain Operations – Foster’s Australia) and Rondolph Bowen (Senior Vice President Global Supply Chain). He will lead procurement for both the multi-beverage and wine businesses, which will also include a global link into our wine producing regions.
James Lovell has been appointed Global Supply Chain Planning Director. James joined Foster’s Group in 1997 in a strategic planning role and was most recently VP Global Supply Chain Planning for BBWE. James’ focus has been on bringing together the supply demand planning functions across BBWE’s global production operations and will now oversee the implementation of this model in the Southcorp business.
Rob Hollis has been appointed Director Operations & Supply Chain – Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Rob was previously Supply Chain Director – EMEA for BBWE and will continue in his role with the addition of Southcorp’s EMEA wine assets. Rob joined Foster’s in March 2004, from Allied Domecq where his most recent position was Global Service Delivery Director.
Dan Zepponi has been appointed Senior Vice-President — Production — Americas. Dan joined BBWE in 1998, having spent 10 years at Delta Airlines, most recently as General Manager of fleet maintenance and engineering programs. Dan’s current role at BBWE is Senior VP – Winemaking & Operations Americas. Dan was born into a winemaking family in the Napa and has completed six vintages at Domaine Chandon.
