Millbrook Winery is pleased to announce its 2007 Sauvignon Blanc was awarded gold in Class 4, Sauvignon Blanc, Any Vintage, at the 2007 Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
Damian Hutton, Senior Winemaker at Millbrook, said: "This is a fantastic result after winning Gold and the Trophy for best Sauvignon Blanc at last year’s Royal Adelaide Wine Show. It confirms that we have consistently good varietal fruit sourced from premium growers in the Margaret River, Great Southern and Geographe regions.”
The fruit is sourced from premium contract growers in the Margaret River (35%), Great Southern (35%) and Geographe (30%) regions of Western Australia.
The wine was 100% tank fermented using VIN 7 and QA23 yeast at 10–12o C for 3–4 weeks.
The Sauvignon Blanc will be released on 1 November 2007 and available through cellar door and the Australian distributors below. The Sauvignon Blanc is $20 RRP.
