Belvidere Winery improves work-flow with VINx2

JX2 Technology Pty Ltd has announced the successful installation of its next-generation winery information system VINx2, at Belvidere Winery, Langhorne Creek. Belvidere Winery is among Australia’s largest contract production facilities with a crush capacity in excess of 20,000 tonnes. The winery moved quickly to secure VINx2 before vintage, eager to improve efficiency and continue to provide unparalleled levels of service to its customers. “VINx2 is an exciting technical innovation that greatly enhances the flow of information to my desk and throughout the winery. We are already seeing workflow efficiencies and have a very good visual indication of what’s happening. The entire solution is poised to add value to our customer relationships and help ensure that we are at the forefront of winery best practice and innovation for years to come,” said Mark Turnbull, managing director of Belvidere Winery. The installation marks the single largest VINx2 site in Australia and comes only six weeks after the system was launched at WineTech 2007 in Adelaide. As a testament to the ability of the technology to scale, VINx2 is now operational in wineries crushing from 120 to 20,000t. “When presented with the challenge of an implementation on the scale of Belvidere, we were both excited and confident. Excited by the opportunity to prove ourselves, but also confident in our experience and ability to deliver enterprise level solutions. Seeing the winemakers transition from the old system, with ease, has been very rewarding. We look forward to a long relationship with Belvidere”, said Jamie Gilchrist, managing director. JX2 Technology has also announced the sale of VINx2 to Matildas Winery of Western Australia, recently purchasing the system for their new contract facility, currently in the final stages of construction. According to JX2, VINx2 is a cutting edge winery software solution designed to streamline the flow of information within a winery business. It will save time, help in decision making and improve winery work-flow. It centralises the role of a winemaker providing a highly visual and accurate picture of the current state of a winery. The JX2 team has over 26 years combined experience developing and delivering complex software solutions for e-health, radiology and the wine industry.
