International synthetic closure developers to visit key wine regions in August

Leading international wine closure developers will visit the nation’s key wine regions this month to showcase the latest scientific developments in synthetic closures.

The technical roadshow, which will run from 22–26 August, is being organised by Nomacorc.

It follows Nomacorc’s Australian launch of a new range of longer life synthetic wine closures, made available through exclusive national distributor Newpak Australia.

Dr Olav Aagaard, Chief Technology Officer for Nomacorc in Belgium and Dr Luc Lurton, Nomacorc’s Scientific Manager, will be conducting technical presentations in the Barossa Valley, Renmark, Mildura, Griffith and the Lower Hunter Valley.

Newpak Australia’s Managing Director, Mr Neil Walsh said the technical roadshow was an ideal opportunity for local wine industry operators and winemakers to hear the latest scientific developments in synthetic wine closures.

Dates for the technical roadshow presentations are as follows:

Monday 22 August Lower Hunter Valley 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Tallawanta Lodge

Tuesday 23 August Griffith 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm The Gemini Hotel
