Oliver's Taranga set to unveil new cellar door

The Oliver family of McLaren Vale is celebrating the opening of their new cellar door this Friday night with more than 300 friends and locals from across the Vale. Building on 160 years of experience as viticulturists, Oliver’s Taranga began making wines just last year. The cellar door gives them a home and marks a new beginning for this premium boutique wine label. Winemaker Corrina Rayment says they’ve been overwhelmed by the support for the new cellar door. “It’s wonderful to have the region behind us,” said Corrina. “We are excited about this new venture and are so pleased that our colleagues in McLaren Vale also feel the same way – it’s going to be a great night!” The Oliver family have restored the cottage of their ancestors William and Elizabeth Oliver for the new cellar door. “It was a way of respecting the five previous generations and all the hard work, sacrifice and effort that has gone into what we have today at the Taranga vineyard. It was great to breathe life back into a building that was built and inhabited by our pioneering family,” Corrina said. “Fruits of Our Labour” is part of Fiesta!, the month-long celebration of food and wine across the Fleurieu Peninsula.
