With the announcement of results at the 2007 Royal Melbourne Wine Show Awards Presentation Dinner last week, Peter Lehmann Wines scooped the pool collecting four Trophies for their 2002 and 2003 Reserve Eden Valley Rieslings, 2003 Reserve Semillon and 2002 Mentor.
Andrew Wigan, chief winemaker, flanked by PLW winemakers, Ian Hongell and Kerry Morrison said after the presentations, “We’re simply over the moon with these results and can hardly believe the success we have been having over the past 12 months both internationally and back on our home soil!
"To have won the 2006 International Winemaker of the Year at the London International Wine & Spirit Competition in November; the 2006 International White Winemaker of the Year at the London International Wine Challenge in September; collected three Trophies at the 2007 London International Wine Challenge in June this year; and now to have scooped four Trophies here at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show is absolutely mind blowing!”
