Waitakere based e-business solutions provider, Wine Trade Online Limited, has been named as a finalist in the Bank of New Zealand Waitakere City Business Awards for the third consecutive year.
This year Wine Trade Online has reached the finals in two categories. The Unitec Product Design Award and the Airpro Business Innovation Award.
The Bank of New Zealand Waitakere City Business Awards is an annual event where Waitakere businesses are acknowledged for their outstanding accomplishments. The Awards are facilitated by Enterprise Waitakere — the city's business development agency that actively promotes sustainable business development and employment growth within Waitakere.
This year's awards, the most hotly-contested ever with a record 77 entries, are arguably New Zealand's most prestigious business awards program with the richest prize pool of any regional — or national — business awards in the country.
The Unitec Product Design Award recognises the outstanding use of design in a product, service, packaging, promotion, website or brand that has contributed to the growth of the company.
The Airpro Business Innovation Award acknowledges a business that demonstrates continuous innovation in products, processes and services and how this has impacted on the company's performance and the benefits to its customers.
Wine Trade Online's success in reaching this year's finals follows from a finals spot in the 2005 awards in the Product Design and Development category.
The 2006 awards saw Wine Trade Online earn finals positions in both the Product Design and Development Award and Best Innovative Business Award and win the Excellence in Service Award, sponsored by The Trusts.
The 2007 Bank of New Zealand Waitakere Business Awards winners will be announced at a black tie Gala Dinner at the Trusts Stadium on 12 October 2007.
